Free Woman Holding Book PSD Mockup.png

For this project, I redesigned a book cover through an exploration of experimental and expressive typography. I focused on translating physical, analog typographic techniques into a digital space, creating a final outcome that balanced tactile qualities with digital experimentation.

RESULTS

PROCESS

01     Material Exploration

Throughout my exploration of textures and materials, I experimented with a range of tactile elements to capture the gritty tone of true crime. I found inspiration from elements within true crime film and television.

02     Digital Exploration

After exploring various materials, I chose to use pins and string to construct the letters of the book title. I photographed the final arrangement and refined the composition in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, adjusting the color palette, typography, and overall visual balance.
